Bob Mann is a fully qualified teacher with over 30 year's experience in education. He has trained in a variety of different meditative practices and traditions for over 25 years. He has been teaching meditation full-time for the last ten years. During this time he has learnt that all meditation techniques have advantages as well as disadvantages. This experience allows him to tailor his teaching to the needs and requirements of his students, whether mindfulness, breath, sound or zen meditations. Therefore, workshops tend to flow gently in response to the students being taught rather than any preset agenda.

One to one sessions, from beginners to the more advanced, are offered to those who want to work at their own pace and requirement.

Over time and with commitment, students report an increase in clarity of mind and joy of the heart, a re-awakening of creativity, as well as a general decrease in stress levels.

Bob has led thirteen bi-annual weekend retreats at The Friars, an ancient monastery in the Kent countryside. The Retreats normally form a summation of the terms work at the Haelan Centre.

The workshops are non-religious and do not depend on ritual. Students sit on chairs and there is no requirement for special clothing. No previous experience or expertise in meditation, is needed. Beginners are warmly welcomed.
