In-Person & Online sessions from £150
My name is Emma Brooks and I am a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist.
When I was 18 I was diagnosed with IBS and told to eat more fibre and sent away, this with a history of yo-yo dieting and allergies led me to read many self help books on nutrition and learning that what I was eating and drinking was not helping my gut microbiome. (All those years ago!) I found nutrition fascinating and after reading many more books and bringing up my three children I more recently I trained in it.
I am particularly passionate about children's health and educating them as to why they need to eat a balanced diet (for at least 80% of the time) and how it will effect their mood, skin and growth if they live off UPF's. A balanced diet can also have a positive impact on Neurodivergent children, although it can be a challenge with fussy eaters! (I have few strategies)
Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy looks at the body as a whole looking for the root causes and then supports the body through nutrition and lifestyle principles. Once you have booked your first appointment I will send you a comprehensive questionnaire to fill out. The questionnaire gives me a full picture of your health history and possible answers to why you are feeling the way you are. The initial consultation lasts for 90 minutes where we will go over your health history, current symptoms and diet in great detail. You will receive a detailed health plan a few days later which will include detailed information on what to change in your diet, recipe ideas and lifestyle changes that could benefit you and supplement recommendations if applicable.
