Acupuncture / Chinese Herbal Medicine (TCM)

Kim Wells has been practising Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine for over 25 years. Kim's interest and experience extend to a wide range of medical conditions and other forms of dis-ease but he has a particular interest in using acupuncture in the areas of joint and back problems, sportsinjuries, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, migrainesand tension-type headaches, men's problems, smoking addiction, fertility (IVF etc) and pregnancy including preparation for childbirth. Kim has recently written information leaflets on IBS and Joint and Back Problems which can be obtained at the Haelan Centre.


Kim Wells can, if requested, combine Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine, in both cases basing his diagnosis and treatment on T.C.M. principles. 
Kim Wells completed a three-year training in acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988, took a one year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. He has completed a clinical training at a hospital in Nanjing, China, and trained with Marine Al-Khafaji, a leading Chinese herbal expert in the field of skin diseases.


He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these professional bodies ensure that members have adequate training and clinical experience and follow a strict code of professional ethics. He practices Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Haelan Centre in North London.

Treatments are usually given once a week initially and at longer intervals as improvement occurs. Recently acquired conditions usually required less treatment than those that have persisted for a long time. Each treatment takes three-quarters of an hour to one hour.


Charges
£50 / per treatment. The initial consultation includes treatment and also costs £50.

Concessionary rates are available, for students, those on lower incomes and those who because of other financial  commitments have relatively low disposable incomes. If you wish to cancel a session please give 24 hours notice, otherwise a cancellation fee may be charged.


Only cheques or cash can be taken in payment. Regrettably credit and debit cards can not be accepted.
