Abi Brazil BA Hons, CRM5, PRM, CNHC

I am a Clinical Reflexologist, holding a Level 5 Mastership in Reflexology, the highest qualification available in the UK today and am passionate about the healing power of reflexology. As a Clinical Reflexologist, I am trained to work with medical conditions as well as offering treatments focusing on pure relaxation.
Reflexology can help relieve symptoms of many ailments as well as improve overall feelings of wellbeing. As part of my Mastership qualification I have specialist training in Pregnancy Reflexology (Pre and Post Natal), Fertility Reflexology and Reflexology for Palliative Care. I also hold further qualifications in Reflexology for Women's Health and Hot Stone Reflexology. In 2018 I qualified as a Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage practitioner which is an evidence based, award winning technique built on the same principles as Lymphatic Drainage Massage/Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). This ground breaking technique focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet using reflexology and has been proven to reduce swelling and improve quality of life in breast cancer sufferers with secondary lympheodema.

I am fully insured and a member of Professional Reflexology organisation as well as the CNHC - the UK government backed voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. Some health care cash plans may cover reflexology.

All treatments are tailored to the individual depending on your personal health and goals. As reflexology is a holistic therapy, whilst I may focus on the main reflexes appropriate for your personal health concerns, each treatment will strive to bring the whole body back to its natural balance. Throughout the treatment you should feel relaxed and may even fall asleep. At the end of the session I may offer you some homecare advice if appropriate. First treatments include a health and lifestyle consultation which takes around 15 - 20 mins. All information provided is kept in the strictest confidence.

Mark Skivington

  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Sports Massage
  • Hot & Cold Stone Massage

Mark is a Deep Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist, with almost ten years experience in providing Pre Event, Post Event and Maintenance Massage to athletes and fun runners for all events and levels.

Mark uses his experience of having ran several marathons himself, including London Marathon three times, to help people prepare for events, or even just address discrepancies and manage injury prevention caused during gym or exercise sessions or even daily life.
Mark is also a qualified Personal Trainer.

Mark has a passion for helping people to unlock their potential, and can help with tight knotted shoulders and aching back pain, freeing you up for greater flexibility in your life all around.

The main benefit of sports massage is that it improves muscle flexibility, blood circulation and reduces swelling, aids the prevention of sports injuries and assists the body with recovery and repair after sports injuries have been sustained.

Mark also provides Hot and Cold Stone massage, combining alternating hot and cold stones to assist and support every cell in the body to receive more oxygen and nutrients, moves lymph and thereby encourages a more effective removal of toxins.

Blood vessels will rise to the surface and dilate when the hot stone is applied and then vessels will constrict and move blood back to the inner core muscles when cold is applied. The opening and closing of the blood vessels causes a pumping action within the circulatory system which brings in more blood to the lungs and heart.

It is pretty much a vascular gymnastics for the body. It allows the body to achieve the same level of relaxation and rejuvenation as going to a sauna and jumping in the plunge pool but with the benefit of a massage included.

Contact Mark to book - 07985 585587 or email. Cancellations require 24 hours notice or a fee will be charged.

Melissa Softley

  • Somatic Movement and Therapeutic Yoga

About Melissa Softley

melI have been training in Somatic Movement Therapy with Linda Hartley and faculty since 2015 and am in the final process of completing the IBMT diploma. (Jan 2022) and currently hold Cert (IBMT) Developmental Somatic Psychology and a student membership with ISMETA stating my adherence to their codes of ethics.
I am a trained educator and have taught Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology to bodyworkers for a decade. I teach with a passion for the wisdom, intelligence, and poetry of the human body. I have developed workshops and CPDs integrating classical and contemporary understandings of the human body with our embodied experience.
With a background of 20 years experience teaching yoga, and movement, many disciplines weave together and inform my work, including Scaravelli Yoga, Hanna Somatics, Feldenkrais and Body Mind Centering®.

Somatic Movement

Somatic movement is a multi-modality therapy that can support a client's unfolding and emergent process through therapeutic presence, bodywork and movement, trusting and following the inherent wisdom of the bodymind and its drive to return to wholeness and health.

Clients are supported and guided through embodied expression that may be physical, emotional, psychological, or energetic and can be facilitated in a co-creative exploration of movement patterning, re-patterning, embodied anatomy and relational touch.

My practice is informed by my training in Therapeutic Presence, Touch Re-patterning, Developmental Movement, Embodied Anatomy and Somatic Psychology. Practices include understandings of contemporary neurobiology and traumatic stress and how this may be held and expressed through our body patterns and tissues.

My practice is held by the guidance I have received in my twenty-year personal process-oriented practice and by my practice in the discipline of Authentic Movement.

Therapeutic Yoga

I have facilitated Therapeutic Yoga practice to support many experiences of dis-ease or disruption to the body. This may be muscular, skeletal, developmental, systemic, or progressive and may be approached through working with movement patterns, strengthening or releasing and alignment practices. Or simply through facilitating awareness through touch, the breath and letting go of deeply held unconscious patterns to allow the body innate capacity to reorganise.

My knowledge of Yoga, Anatomy and Physiology and the human bodymind enables me to have an informed understanding in working with a range of condition and adapting beneficial movement and awareness practices for all experiences of health, wellness and mobility. In my work I connect with the whole person to re-establish and restore this fundamental connection to health.

Somatic Movement, Therapeutic Yoga and Yoga

Michelle Austen-Marriott BA(Hons), BSc(Hons), LicAc, MBAcC

michelle portraitMichelle, a British Acupuncture Council member and a mother-of-two is very passionate in supporting couples trying to conceive.  She investigates every aspect of a woman’s health history and habits to determine which organs and meridians are out of balance, and then recommends a regimen of acupuncture, exercise, relaxation techniques and/or dietary changes to restore equilibrium to her body. When a woman’s body is restored to balance, the hormones needed for conception and pregnancy are produced the way nature intended.
Acupuncture offers a natural way to support your efforts to get pregnant. Acupuncture can improve your overall health and well-being, strengthen the organs and systems vital to reproduction, help to heal specific conditions that may affect your fertility (i.e. PCOS, Endometriosis) and even support Western-based reproductive technology such as IUI and IVF.
Traditional Chinese medicine describes the female reproductive system as a network of energy systems with complementary organs and hormonal responses. This network responds to stress, chemicals, lack of exercise, poor eating, and excess emotions, all of which can put the body off balance. Even a slight aberration can throw the entire system off so that it no longer functions smoothly. Yet, just as the body responds to negative influences, it also responds to gentle direction to return to balance.
One of the beauties of Eastern medicine is that there is no separation of mind, body, emotions and spirit, and acupuncture is based upon ministering to them all. Michelle believes this approach is more in alignment with the body’s own design. She also believes that because acupuncture focuses on restoring balance to the entire body, it can serve as a valuable adjunct to Western medical technology.
Michelle has been practising at the Haelan Clinic for over fifteen years and believes Acupuncture can provide you with a new source of health and hope in your quest to conceive and carry a healthy baby to term.

Michelle practices at the Haelan Clinic:
Monday to Wednesday 6.45pm - 9.45pm.
Tuesday to Friday 9.15am - 3.15pm.
Saturday 10am - 3pm.
Sunday 5.30pm - 9.30pm.
Ad Hocs are available outside of these times, please ask Michelle.
