Meditation with Sound
Emphasis is based on reflecting on the meaning of sound whilst reciting sutras and mantras within the Vedic and Yogic traditions. Sound has been found to be very direct in communicating meditative awareness, rather like, in a different field, poetry is more directly communicated by sounding out aloud instead of simply reading the words. The practice is transformative, developing a foundation of rest and liberation from the chattering mind.
It is by far the most effective method I have practiced, especially in transforming everyday life. With this in mind, lessons are taught on a workshop basis and are experiential. The focus is on practical philosophy and insight - not on religious belief.
Bob Mann teaches Meditation with Sound, on Saturdays from 16:30 to 18:00, please contact Bob for more information and to book an appointment.
