Beatriz Linhares Dip Phyt, NMIMH,MRCHM

Beatriz completed a four year full time course in herbal medicine in 1982 at the School of Herbal Medicine in Sussex.

In 1997 she qualified as a Traditional Chinese herbalist from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine and undertook postgraduate training in Nanjing University Hospital China.

Beatriz practices using the best of both disciplines combining, where possible, the foundations of Traditional Chiniese Medicine even when Western herbs are prescribed. She is a very experienced practitioner with over 20 years in practice.

Beatriz teaches and supervises at two London Universities, training students in herbal medicine. She also runs a dermatology clinic at Whipps Cross Hospital. Her areas of expertise and interest are skin, fertility and hormonal conditions.

Beatriz is a long standing member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Char Scrivener

Char is head of Studies and the British School of Shiatsu Do. Back in the 1970s many of Char's friends were interested in different forms of health care. This ranged from being involved in the Radical Midwives movement to Polarity Therapy, from Self-help groups to Shiatsu. In the 80's she attended her first course in Shiatsu at the East West Centre. She was particularly interested in Shiatsu because of her martial arts training. Char took her teacher training at the BSS-Do London and has also studied and continues to study with many leading teachers of Shiatsu including Clifford Andrews, Pauline Sasaki, Michael Rose, Bill Palmer, Kikko Matsumato and particularly Sonia Moriceau.

For the past three years she has followed an apprenticeship with Nakamura Sensei in Seitai, a complimentary discipline to Shiatsu. As well as having practised forms of Kung-Fu and Kempo, she also practises Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga (which she teaches) and meditation.

Dominique Meeroff

Dominique Meeroff is one of London's leading practitioners in helping people transform their lives with the Metamorphic Technique. She trained to teach Metamorphic Technique with Gaston Saint-Pierre and is a teacher-member of the Metamorphic Association.

She has explored various healing modalities for the last eight years training in Reiki, Colour Light Therapy, Theta Healing, Reflexology, Metamorphic Technique and Tantric Meditation.

Dominique is also an accomplished singer/songwriter, loves to dance and has been travelling regularly to India since 1984.

Ella Owen specialises in nutritional therapy and digestive problems such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She also uses flower remedies and meridian energy healing approaches, where appropriate, to stimulate the healing process.

Ellie completed a full time four year degree in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex university in June 2000. Her degree included extensive training to a high standard in the medical sciences: pathology, diagnostic skills, pharmacology and pharmacy, as well as botany, herbal therapeutics, nutrition and clinical skills.

She has also had two years of clinical training at the Archway Clinic of Herbal Medicine in the Whittington Hospital, North London.

Hidemi Hatada has advanced teaching experience in the application of Alexander Techique to business, educational, musical and medical situations. She has given workshops in the UK and Japan and also teaches and trains other Alexander Technique teachers.

She is an experienced singer and keyboard player and is a registered A. T. teacher of the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM)

All STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) members have completed three years of full-time training and abide by a code of ethics laid out by the Society.

I have been a registered nurse and midwife since 1976. I currenly work under the NHS in all areas of midwifery. I specialize in ante natal care and the development of specialist services for teenage mums.

I am passionate about midwifery and the need to develop women's confidence in the power of their own bodies. I am also a mother with two sons who are both now young men.

Jeanette Thomson DO., ND., D.Hom(Med)

JeanetteJeanette Thomson qualified in Osteopathy in 1982 and qualified in Homeopathic Medicine in 1985. She has travelled widely, attending conferences and teaching in Europe, India, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand. Her treatments often combine western acupuncture and homeopathic medicine with osteopathy, naturopathy and laser therapy. Kevin Leong

Kevin studied and qualified as a Bowen Therapist with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia, which is the original and most recognised international Bowen Association. Since qualifying in July 2000 he has regularly treated people with a variety of conditions ranging from musculo-skeletal problems to asthma, hayfever and sleepling disorders.

As a Sports Massage and Injuries Therapist, Kevin treats people for a range of conditions. This includes sports people such as runners, rugby and football players, cricketers, rowers, tennis players, martial artists and snowboarders. Kevin also treats people who do not partake in sport on a regular basis. He is qualified to assess injuries, muscles and joints.

Kim Wells B.A., Lic.Ac., Dip.J.C.M., Dip S.C.H.M., M.B. Ac., M.R.C.H.M

KimKim Wells combines herbal treatments with acupuncture, in both cases basing his diagnosis and treatment on T.C.M. principles. Kim Wells completed a three-year training in acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988, took a one year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1992, he completed a one month clinical training in herbal medicine at a hospital in Nanjing, China. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these bodies ensure that member have adequate training and clinical experience and follow a strict code of professional ethics. He practices Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Haelan Centre in North London and in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Treatments are usually given once a week initially and at longer intervals as improvement occurs. Recently acquired conditions usually required less treatment than those that have persisted for a long time. Each treatment takes three-quarters of an hour.

I have worked full time as a registered nurse and midwife since 1999. I am employed under the NHS and work in all areas of midwifery.

I have a particular interest in post natal care and a genuine desire to help women prepare for the impact the arrival of a baby has in the first weeks of life. This includes breastfeeding.

Liz Hogan

About Liz Hogan

Liz first became interested in Hypnotherapy after being encouraged by a friend to take a course in the subject. She discovered that she had a deep affinity for it and decided to take her training further. She is now a qualified Advanced Hypnotherapist, a method whereby physical ailments can be treated effectively.

Liz’s interest in EFT developed after practising on herself. Realising how fast and effective it was, she decided to formalise her knowledge by training as an EFT practitioner. Liz has also trained in BSFF and Tapas Acupression Technique, both meridian therapies similar to EFT. Through her natural talents in this field, Liz’s ultimate aim is to help people effect positive changes that will enhance their lives.

Liz grew up in Darwin, Australia before moving to London four years ago. Amongst her interests she lists reading, walking, attending art exhibitions and socialising.

Samantha Flower,C.H.Ed (DipNuTh)


Samantha became interested in Nutrition when, after many years ofsuffering, she cured herself of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Eczema and Asthma. Amazed by her rapid improvement she decided to study dietary therapy. She was later diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as a consequence of overwork and over-training. Samantha decided to embark upon an extreme dietary regime. Within the space of nine months she had made a complete recovery. This reinforced her faith in the power of dietary healing. It also ignited her specialist interest in degenerative conditions.

Samantha undertook her studies at The Kevala Centre, the prestigious holistic learning college in Torquay, graduating with distinctions in both Nutritional Therapy and Iridology.

She is also a qualified tutor. Samantha lectures at The Kevala Centre in Nutritional Therapy, Detoxification and Integrated Health Management. She is the author of a course entitled: Detoxification: A Maintenance Plan for Healthy Living which she was commissioned to write for the college.

In addition to her practice work and her teaching, Samantha writes articles for magazines. She is a regular contributor to the Gerson® Support Group newsletter. Stephanie Harrington

StephanieStephanie Harrington has trained in Shiatsu with the highly esteemed Sonia Moriceau, in a particular approach to Shiatsu called Healing - Shiatsu. She is also fully qualified in Cranio Sacral Therapy and Indian Head Massage.

Susie Pearce MSc BSc RN Couns Cert Dip CVM

My aim is to provide a unique combination of powerful tools for personal transformation. This is through talking, reflection, and spiritual counselling combined with energy healing and the use of flower, gem and crystal essences. All of these are entirely safe, gentle and suitable for adults, children and animals alike.

I started my work in healing and caring as a nurse, shortly after leaving school. I originally specialized in cancer care athough over the years have worked with people with most medical and emotional issues. I have also spent some years developing holistic and caring practices in different health care settings. Through this time I have developed my own spiritual and healing practice, in the last few years working with healing energy through gaia, and in the last two years working with flower, gem and crystal essences. I continue to do some consultancy work in the NHS developing care and complementary therapies.

Charges are:
First Treatment and follow ups are 1 and a half hours or 1 hour long.

1 and a half hour sessions: £60.00
1 hours sessions :£40.00

1 and a half hour sessions are for full flower/gem remedy consultation and gaia healing combined.
1 hour sessions are for gaia energy healing only or smaller amount of gaia healing and short flower/gem remedy consultation
Also available is 30 minute telephone flower/gem remedy consultation for follow up, cost is £25.
There will be a separate cost for remedies
Concessions are available for those on benefits/low income and full-time students

Tanya Spencer MAR, BFRP.

Tanya qualified as a Reflexologist in 2000 after completing an ITEC Diploma, then she went on to do a Practitioners Course in Reflexology accredited by the Association of Reflexologists of which she is also a member.

In 2001, Tanya completed her Reiki Master IIIa Degree. She has also studied Crystal Healing, practises Yoga and is interested in many areas of self-development. Tanya's work is both structured and intuitive, adapting to the needs of each person.

Tanya practices at the Haelan Clinic. She is also available to do home visits and would be happy to discuss any queries concerning treatments prior to appointments.

All Saturdays except for the 1st Saturday of the month from 9am - 1pm
Vanessa also runs the drop in clinic on Wednesday afternoon - a 15 minute appointment costs £10.00

First consultation: £45.00
Follow up consultations: £40.00
