Miscarriage / Fertility Difficulties Counselling

Helping you to explore your feelings at a difficult time, in a supportive and confidential setting.

When you want to have a baby and it just doesn't happen, the months tick by and it still doesn't happen, the pain and frustration can become hard to bear.

Most of us take it for granted that we will be able to have children.

We often hear that approximately one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage. Yet for each women it is a deeply personal experience.
Every miscarriage is unique. It can have an emotional impact at whatever stage. Making sense of what has happened and working though what you feel are part of the process of moving on.

From either of these experiences, sometimes we need to find a way to cope with the confustion, vulnerability and emotional isolation that can follow. We may also need help to think through ongoing treatment, or there could be difficult decisions to be make.

The feelings surrounding the experiences of fertility difficulties or pregnancy loss are often very strong.

Sometimes we need to talk about them freely and openly in a way that is not always possible with family or friends. Bottled up they can become difficult and intense and unless acknowledged, can endure.

Counselling offers an opportunity to talk thing through with a trained, objective counsellor with understanding and experience.
