Haelan Goes Carbon Neutral on 4th June
We are working with a carbon offsetting charity called Tolerance International, to set up an offsetting scheme for the Haelan Centre and our customers. We will be making a regular long term donation (based on our carbon footprint) to Tolerance International which will be used to plant trees and support community projects in the Peruvian Rainforest.
Customers are invited to participate by voluntarily agreeing to us adding a 2p donation to each purchase made at the Centre. In this way you can make a direct and meaningful contribution to the health and future of this part of the Amazon Rainforest. You are always free to opt out of this donation (just let the cashier know at the till when you make a purchase).
Extending the scheme to our customers means that we not only raise more money to help to protect this very vulnerable ecosystem, we also raise awareness of how we can all reduce our carbon footprint and take responsibility for our energy usage. Tolerance International offers offsetting schemes for individuals and families as well as small businesses. As a charity, Tolerance Interational is unique in that it serves local people's needs alongside the protection of the environment. We are really excited that there will be a designated area of land that will be planted with trees from our donations. Tolerance International will be keeping us updated with pictures and reports on the reforestation and community projects that will be directly supported by our donations. Watch this space!

Prepare for the Hayfever Seaon!
As part of the Crouch End Project's late night shopping event on Thursday May 1st we are offering £1 off our hayfever tincture and 50p off our hayfever tea (only on May 1st between 5pm - 8pm).
If you get hayfever - you need to start treating it now! Studies show that the earlier on in the season you start treatment the more successfully you can control those annoying allergic symptoms. Right now would also be the ideal time to check if there are any food intolerances that are contributing to the problem. Start taking your herbal or homeopathic remedies as soon as possible and look forward to a far more enjoyable summer this in 2008!

Weekend Workshops at the Haelan Centre
Did you know that the Haelan Centre offers a diverse range courses and talks over the weekend? Courses for new parents include ante-natal classes and hypnobirthing workshops.

We also offer practitioner training courses in nutritional therapy, gaia healing and Nutritional Therapy Courses run in conjunction with the Kevala Centre.
