Anna Wise

Anna Wise has been practising yoga since her early twenties and holds a British Wheel of Yoga teaching diploma as well as a specialist module in Yoga for Pregnancy. She recently completed the Birthlight foundation course under the guidance of inspirational teacher Francoise Freedman. She teaches yoga around London to groups and individuals.

Anna's teaching style is informal and accessible, her aim is to help women enjoy their pregnancies whilst learning how to nurture themselves so that they can feel empowered and ready for the challanges of childbirth and motherhood.

Jacqueline Flavell

I have been a registered nurse and midwife since 1976. I currenly work under the NHS in all areas of midwifery. I specialize in ante natal care and the development of specialist services for teenage mums.

I am passionate about midwifery and the need to develop women's confidence in the power of their own bodies. I am also a mother with two sons who are both now young men.

Julia Moore

I began my study of yoga at sixth form college in 1988. Since this time, the practice has been a huge support in life, enabling me to move more freely and steadily through life's ups and downs.

I hold a Teacher's Foundation and Teacher's Awareness Certificate from the Inner Yoga Trust. I am also certified by the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY).

My teaching and practice is is inspired by Vanda Scaravelli, Angela Farmer, Donna Farhi and BKS Iyengar, amonst others. I am particularly interested in adapting classical yoga postures to more readily meet the needs of people who are less flexible and those who suffer from stress related health conditions. I enjoy teaching beginners and more experienced students.

I have worked for the Haelan Centre for over ten years in addition to working occasionally as a complementary health journalist. Drawing on this knowledge I design themed classes, courses and workshops which enable students to move towards health, wellbeing and emotional balance.

Katie Takashima

Katie has over 7 years experience with the Pilates method and sees Pilates as not just a form of exercise but a way of life to promote physical health and mental well-being. She believes Pilates has transformed her body awareness and has given her a stronger, healthier body by restoring her alignment and re-educating her muscles to break faulty movement patterns.
In 2005, she trained with the PILATESfoundation® UK, known for its in-depth training encompassing all aspects of the Pilates method from human anatomy and physiology to practical application of Pilates exercises from both the classical & evolved repertoires.
Today she continues to explore her physical capabilities through the Pilates method while offering a wide range of Pilates matwork classes across London. She believes Pilates exercise can be adapted to suit anyone and especially enjoys teaching small equipment classes to cater for the different needs of her clients.
Whether you are new to Pilates and have lots of questions, or a seasoned expert who likes to be challenged, she would love to share her passion & the benefits of the Pilates method with you.

Julia Giggins

Julia trained at the Tisserand Institute in London gaining the Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy in 1999, (T.I.D.H.A ) followed by ‘Advanced Bodywork’ training in 2001. She continues to take a keen interest in different massage styles and other forms of bodywork.
She is a member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (I.F.P.A.)

Kevin Leong

Kevin studied and qualified as a Bowen Therapist with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia, which is the original and most recognised international Bowen Association. Since qualifying in July 2000 he has regularly treated people with a variety of conditions ranging from musculo-skeletal problems to asthma, hayfever and sleepling disorders.

As a Sports Massage and Injuries Therapist, Kevin treats people for a range of conditions. This includes sports people such as runners, rugby and football players, cricketers, rowers, tennis players, martial artists and snowboarders. Kevin also treats people who do not partake in sport on a regular basis. He is qualified to assess injuries, muscles and joints.

Kim Wells B.A., Lic.Ac., Dip.J.C.M., Dip S.C.H.M., M.B. Ac., M.R.C.H.M

KimKim Wells combines herbal treatments with acupuncture, in both cases basing his diagnosis and treatment on T.C.M. principles. Kim Wells completed a three-year training in acupuncture in 1987 at The College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and then in 1988, took a one year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). organised by the Journal of Chinese Medicine. In 1991, following a two year intensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine, he obtained a diploma from the School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. In 1992, he completed a one month clinical training in herbal medicine at a hospital in Nanjing, China. He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Both of these bodies ensure that member have adequate training and clinical experience and follow a strict code of professional ethics. He practices Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Haelan Centre in North London and in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Treatments are usually given once a week initially and at longer intervals as improvement occurs. Recently acquired conditions usually required less treatment than those that have persisted for a long time. Each treatment takes three-quarters of an hour.

There are concessions for children and those on a low income.

I have worked full time as a registered nurse and midwife since 1999. I am employed under the NHS and work in all areas of midwifery.

I have a particular interest in post natal care and a genuine desire to help women prepare for the impact the arrival of a baby has in the first weeks of life. This includes breastfeeding.

Liz Hogan

About Liz Hogan

Liz first became interested in Hypnotherapy after being encouraged by a friend to take a course in the subject. She discovered that she had a deep affinity for it and decided to take her training further. She is now a qualified Advanced Hypnotherapist, a method whereby physical ailments can be treated effectively.

Liz’s interest in EFT developed after practising on herself. Realising how fast and effective it was, she decided to formalise her knowledge by training as an EFT practitioner. Liz has also trained in BSFF and Tapas Acupression Technique, both meridian therapies similar to EFT. Through her natural talents in this field, Liz’s ultimate aim is to help people effect positive changes that will enhance their lives.

Liz grew up in Darwin, Australia before moving to London four years ago. Amongst her interests she lists reading, walking, attending art exhibitions and socialising.

Samantha Flower,C.H.Ed (DipNuTh)


Samantha became interested in Nutrition when, after many years ofsuffering, she cured herself of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Eczema and Asthma. Amazed by her rapid improvement she decided to study dietary therapy. She was later diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome as a consequence of overwork and over-training. Samantha decided to embark upon an extreme dietary regime. Within the space of nine months she had made a complete recovery. This reinforced her faith in the power of dietary healing. It also ignited her specialist interest in degenerative conditions.

Samantha undertook her studies at The Kevala Centre, the prestigious holistic learning college in Torquay, graduating with distinctions in both Nutritional Therapy and Iridology.

She is also a qualified tutor. Samantha lectures at The Kevala Centre in Nutritional Therapy, Detoxification and Integrated Health Management. She is the author of a course entitled: Detoxification: A Maintenance Plan for Healthy Living which she was commissioned to write for the college.

In addition to her practice work and her teaching, Samantha writes articles for magazines. She is a regular contributor to the Gerson® Support Group newsletter. The Group, of which she is a keen member, promotes the nutritional treatment of cancer and degenerative disease. She is also a member of the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists International.

Sara first qualified at the College of Practical Homeopathy in 1998. In 2004 she completed an Advanced Diploma Course at the Dynamis School for Advanced Homeopathic Studies with Jeremy Sherr. Stephanie Harrington

StephanieStephanie Harrington has trained in Shiatsu with the highly esteemed Sonia Moriceau, in a particular approach to Shiatsu called Healing - Shiatsu. She is also fully qualified in Cranio Sacral Therapy and Indian Head Massage.

Susie Pearce MSc BSc RN Couns Cert Dip CVM

My aim is to provide a unique combination of powerful tools for personal transformation. This is through talking, reflection, and spiritual counselling combined with energy healing and the use of flower, gem and crystal essences. Tanya Spencer MAR, BFRP.

Tanya qualified as a Reflexologist in 2000 after completing an ITEC Diploma, then she went on to do a Practitioners Course in Reflexology accredited by the Association of Reflexologists of which she is also a member.

In 2001, Tanya completed her Reiki Master IIIa Degree. She has also studied Crystal Healing, practises Yoga and is interested in many areas of self-development. Tanya's work is both structured and intuitive, adapting to the needs of each person.
