Mindfulness for Stress Reduction

Sunday 13th January 2008 10am - 4pm; HAELAN CENTRE STUDIO

Much of the stress we experience in our lives is exacerbated by our tendency to move into the habitual reactions of automatic pilot. A mindfulness practice helps us to slow down, pay attention and to notice what's happening while it is happening. It is this noticing that provides the key to the transformative potential of mindfulness. This one day introductory workshop will explore mindfulness. What it is and how we can benefit from it.

  • poise - the ability to face life challenges gracefully

  • joyfulness
  • self acceptance/acceptance of others
  • increased confidence
