Herbs for Common Ailments A - G
There are many ways of treating minor ailments herbally, homeopathically
and by looking at the ailment from a nutritional angle. The following
suggestions are given and where possible stick to using the herbs and
remedies mentioned in Ten
Herbs for the Home and Natural
First Aid Kit.

Lavender oil dabbed neat on spots, facial toner made from chamomile, marigold
and liquorice, Steam face with chamomile and sage, drink nettle tea frequently.
Take Linseed oil. Take Acidolphillus capsules. Check
for food sensitivities *.
Drink nettle tea and take fresh nettle soup, soothe with Aloe Vera gel

Use tea tree neat between toes (to treat and prevent) and drink marigold
tea until infection clears up. Eat plenty of garlic. Take acidophillus
capsules. Dry carefully between toes If persistant *.
Use arnica ointment (where there is no broken skin) and Arnica 30 homeopathic
tablets (take six doses every two hours then three doses a day until improvement
occurs).
Run under cold tap until pain subsides, then apply aloe vera gel mixed
with a drop of lavender oil.
1 tsp Elderflower and 1 tsp Ribwort Plantain ¼ tsp Liquorice to
1 cup boiling water. Take Echinacea if there is an infection. Eat plenty
of garlic; avoid dairy, citrus and junk food. Check
for food sensitivities *
Rest; take only liquids (soup, juice, tea) for the first day. Mix equal
parts Elderflower, Peppermint, Yarrow, then take 1 heaped tsp per cup.

Remedies.
For babies and young children take Chamomilla 6x or see a homeopath. See
Mother and Baby. For older
children and adults: chew food well and eat slowly, Peppermint tea with
a pinch of ginger powder. Peppermint oil diluted in base oil and rubbed
in a clockwise direction on the tummy. If colon is irritated or inflamed

root, simmer for 15 minutes take 3 cups a day. Drink plenty of fluids;
eat a whole grain diet,

Elecampane with a quarter of a teaspoon of liquorice root. Take Echinacea
if you also have an infection. Chest rubs with lavender and peppermint.

Remedies
Drink yarrow and agrimony tea and take a yarrow bath each day. Rest. Drink
unsweetened cranberry juice. Take Acidophillus capsules. Buchu, Cornsilk
and Marshmallow Leaf as a tea or Diuertic tea from the Haelan Centre.
Take Echinacea. If persistant *.
Eat raw food and drink plenty of water for one day. Take Dandelion, Marigold,
Nettle and Peppermint mixed equal parts 1 tsp per cup. Rest and meditate.

Take tea made with 1 tsp chamomile and 1 tsp peppermint with a pinch of
ginger. Agrimony tea is also good. Take brown
rice and vegetable soup. Eat garlic and ginger. Take plenty of fluids.

Mix equal amounts of marigold, porridge oats and chickweed herb and use
a handful of this mix for a silky smooth non-irritating herbal
bath. Drink Nettle tea on a regular basis. Take linseed oil and Get
a food intolerance test.*
Tsp. of chamomile flowers in a muslin bag for each eye. Soak in boiling
water, cool then place on closed eyes for 15-20 minutes. See also Help

Soak in a Sage and Peppermint footbath. Eat more green vegetables and
consider taking a green superfood.
Elderflower, Peppermint, Yarrow tea. For children use chamomile instead
of peppermint and add marigold. Take Echinacea. Bed rest; plenty of fluids.
If temperature goes over 102F *
Sage and marigold tea (equal parts) as a mouth wash or Welela Mouth Rinse
and Gargle. Also rinse regularly with hot salt water. Cut out junk food.
Consider taking Co-Enzyme Q10. See a dentist.
