Cerie McGee

cerie portraitCerie graduated in Naturopathic Nutrition from CNM (College of Naturopathic Medicine). She is now a full member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT) and the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA).

Unable to be cured by conventional medicine she embarked on a self-healing journey involving naturopathic medicine and in particular nutritional therapy. The astounding results on her symptoms and health, lead to her passion for helping others to optimise their health in the same way.

Unsurprisingly Cerie has a particular passion for women’s health and fertility, although she has vast experience working with a broad range of health concerns including digestive conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and more. She aims to treat each client individually and work with them to develop a realistic, nutritional plan which suits their tastes and lifestyle. For more information see www.ceriemcgee.co.uk

Gemma Cox MAR

gemma portraitMy interest in complementary therapies began at an early age after suffering from severe eczema as a child. From the age of 16 I began attending beginners courses in different therapies, but it wasn’t until I benefited personally from the healing power of Reflexology after a challenging period in my late 20s that I knew it was the right discipline for me.

I trained at the London College of Reflexology with the renowned Reflexology practitioner, Louise Keet.
Continuing to keep my practice up to date, I have completed a
postgraduate specialist course in Fertility, Pregnancy and Post-Natal Reflexology plus a further course in ‘Advanced Reflexology Techniques‘ (ART).

The first treatment lasts one and a half hours and includes a free consultation where we will discuss your current condition, medical history, diet and lifestyle. Subsequent treatments last approximately one hour. You can have as many treatments as you feel comfortable with.

Reflexology is a very individual treatment that works holistically. My treatments are informal, informative and confidential. You can expect to feel relaxed during the
treatment. After a treatment your tension should be reduced and you may feel more grounded. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense
of wellbeing improving.

I am a fully qualified, insured and dedicated member of the Association of Reflexologists(AOR).

If you would like more information about Reflexology, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 07961 398 816 or have a look at my website www.GemmaCoxReflexology.co.uk

Julia Moore

julia portraitI have worked with, researched, written about, and been deeply absorbed by holistic health for nearly two decades.
Much of my inspiration to study in this field has come from benefiting personally from natural healing disciplines and working at the Haelan Centre as a Health Advisor and as the Clinic's Practice Manager.
My experience and understanding is that our body is always working towards health and wholeness, all we have to do is to work with, rather than against it. With the many conflicting health messages we come across in the media, finding out what's truly healthy can become a full time job! I have seen many a fad come and go because it was not based on sound prinicples. Holistic Lifestyle Coaching is a foundational health programme that enables you to identify the way of eating, moving and living that suits you as a unique individual.
I have trained as a yoga teacher and therapist, a meditation teacher, a massage therapist, an Energy Healer (Gaia Healing Ray) and have done several trainings in anatomy and physiology. In addition I have trained in Holistic Lifestyle Coaching with CHEK Institute and Bach Flower Remedies with Ainsworths. I use a combination of all these disciplines to support, guide and inspire you towards improved health and wellbeing.

Michelle Austen-Marriott BA(Hons), BSc(Hons), LicAc, MBAcC

michelle portraitMichelle, a British Acupuncture Council member and a mother-of-two is very passionate in supporting couples trying to conceive.  She investigates every aspect of a woman’s health history and habits to determine which organs and meridians are out of balance, and then recommends a regimen of acupuncture, exercise, relaxation techniques and/or dietary changes to restore equilibrium to her body. When a woman’s body is restored to balance, the hormones needed for conception and pregnancy are produced the way nature intended.
Acupuncture offers a natural way to support your efforts to get pregnant. Acupuncture can improve your overall health and well-being, strengthen the organs and systems vital to reproduction, help to heal specific conditions that may affect your fertility (i.e. PCOS, Endometriosis) and even support Western-based reproductive technology such as IUI and IVF.
Traditional Chinese medicine describes the female reproductive system as a network of energy systems with complementary organs and hormonal responses. This network responds to stress, chemicals, lack of exercise, poor eating, and excess emotions, all of which can put the body off balance. Even a slight aberration can throw the entire system off so that it no longer functions smoothly. Yet, just as the body responds to negative influences, it also responds to gentle direction to return to balance.
One of the beauties of Eastern medicine is that there is no separation of mind, body, emotions and spirit, and acupuncture is based upon ministering to them all. Michelle believes this approach is more in alignment with the body’s own design. She also believes that because acupuncture focuses on restoring balance to the entire body, it can serve as a valuable adjunct to Western medical technology.
Michelle believes Acupuncture can provide you with a new source of health and hope in your quest to conceive and carry a healthy baby to term.

Dr. Robin Monro Ph.D.

robin monro portraitRobin Monro is a Yoga Therapist and Director of the Yoga Biomedical Trust. For thirteen years worked as a research scientist in molecular biology, alongside Nobel Prize winning scientists such as James Watson, Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins who solved one of the most important of all biological riddles - the double helix structure of DNA.

In 1983 he founded the Yoga Biomedical Trust and he went on to found and direct the first UK Yoga Therapy Diploma Course.

Yoga Therapy works with a wide range of conditions, utilising simple yoga practices with emphasis on breathing and awareness. Robin's current activities focus on research and development of yoga therapy for low back pain.

Ray Beber

ray beber portraitI have been working as a therapist with individuals, groups  and couples for over 25 years. I completed my training at LCP (London Centre of Psychotherapy) in 1983 and have worked as a therapist since then.

Alongside psychotherapeutic approach,  I trained as a social worker, initially with children and families but then transferring to psychiatric social work working particularly with individuals in acute states of distress.

I came to realise that much of what was considered mental illness  was a matter of the individual trying to communicate rather than symptoms of illness.  With this perspective I was able to recognise the importance of the individual communicating in their own way within a ‘safe container’ . I learned to work with what the individual brought and see the struggles in terms of the person struggling towards sense and wholeness. This perspective forms the basis of my style of work.

Stephanie Price

stephanie price pictureI first discovered the amazing healing benefits of natural remedies and alternative healing 10 years ago, after a particularly stressful job in the music industry which left me quite unwell.   This was my first realisation that we are 3 part beings - mind, body and spirit, and so my healing journey began.  My first training was in Reiki in Sydney Australia, with the internationally acclaimed Reiki teachers and authors Frans and Bronwen Stein.
On returning to the UK, I trained in Holistic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology in 2004 and then went on to study with the London School of Sports Massage and obtained a BTEC Professional Diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy.  I also gained qualifications in Indian Head Massage, Advanced Deep Tissue techniques, Pregnancy Massage and Reiki level 2 and 3.
I regularly further my knowledge through workshops and courses and continue to add a variety of new techniques to my massage treatments. I have completed almost all of the Holistic Medical Massage series with Jing Advanced Massage and Training in Brighton, including neck and shoulder conditions, shoulder girdle, hip and pelvis and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.
I regularly practice yoga and meditation and take an active interest in diet and supplements after completing a introductory Kinesiology course 2 years ago.  I try to take a holistic viewpoint when treating clients and believe that massage, combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise, rest and relaxation, and a positive mind can help restore the body's natural balance, therefore enhancing general wellbeing.
I tend to work very slowly and deeply with strokes that focus on releasing the fascia (connective tissue) as well as the soft tissues, my clients often comment on how grounded they feel after a treatment.
I have over 5 years experience of helping clients out of pain, to recover from operations or injury, or to just simply slow down and relax. For more information see my website www.listeningtouch-bodywork.co.uk.
I look forward to meeting you.
