PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION

Seitai

"To bring the body to order"

The principle techniques of Seitai involve the use of direct pressure to stimulate the acupoints and also the flow of Ki through the meridian channels. As stimulation occurs, other techniques are employed to reduce tension and address postural and functional distortions.

The result is a combination of deep acupressure stimulation, soft tissue work and gentle manipulative techniques applied to the spine and other joints, encouraging strengthening of the internal organs.

In combination with nutritional advice, treatment is designed to facilitate the body in returning to a more harmonious state of equilibrium or SEITAI.

The form of Seitai that Char practices was developed by Nakamura Sensei of the Kokusai Ryojutsu Gakuin (The Interenational Seitai Academy), Japan. Affiliated to the Beijing Medical University, China.

Char Scrivener practices Seitai and Shiatsu at the Haelan Clinic.
